Online payments for businesses in the Netherlands

30.09.2021

Various options for accepting payments are currently one of the most demanded services for international offline and online businesses. When an entrepreneur is registered in the Netherlands, and his counterparties are located in other countries, it is important to be able to quickly and easily receive money and settle accounts.

Payment gateway

We, as a company that provides services for businesses in various fields, advise and help in connecting to the most modern payment channels today. One of these tools is a payment gateway.

A payment gateway is a service that allows you to accept payment for a product or service on a website (or via a special link) using credit / debit cards (and not only). It is a kind of intermediary between your website and the payment processor who receives payment from your client. The payment gateway verifies the payer's data and sends them securely to the payment processor (payment processor).

In the Netherlands, these are systems such as Mollie, Adyen, Pay.nl, emspay.nl, Sisow. All of them allow you to accept payment by credit card, bank transfer in euros, iDEAL. And, most importantly, transfers using these systems are as fast as possible. To install these systems, the client will need a website as well as terms of use in English and Dutch. We provide both connection services and website creation with terms of use.

Terms of use are rules that you must agree to before using any service.

Payment systems

Another convenient tool that we recommend to our clients is Wise, as well as Revolut and other payment systems that allow you to send and receive various types of currencies. Imagine you send an amount in euros to your counterparty's account in Ukraine, and he, in turn, receives your transfer on the spot in hryvnia.

Cryptocurrency

It is also possible to accept payment in cryptocurrency. With the help of the bitpay.com service, the user transfers the amount in cryptocurrency to the specified crypto account, after receiving the service, it automatically converts it into euros, and the recipient receives a transfer to the bank account in euros from the payment provider.

Another stablecoin cryptocurrency is a type of crypto, the rate of which is associated with real assets. For example, the USDT cryptocurrency is pegged to the US dollar. That is, the volatility (this is the degree of stability of the rate fluctuation) of this coin is very small. The client sends you a payment in stablecoin (USDT, USDC) to the address of your wallet or exchange, and you convert it into euros.

Cryptocurrency can be converted into fiat currency (this is traditional money: rubles, dollars, euros) at the time of payment in the store using a special payment card. The binance exchange allows you to get a Visa card, which in turn can be used in stores in the Netherlands and online. At the time of payment, the exchange converts stablecoin, or another cryptocurrency, into euros. Alternative cards are offered by the exchanges Coinbase and Crypto.com.

This is a quick overview of the tools we work with. We consider the requests and the situation of each client individually, and find the most optimal options that are suitable in a particular case. If you have any additional questions about payment instruments, we are happy to help you.
