Kennismigrant (highly skilled migrant)
Obtaining a residence permit in the Netherlands under the program for highly skilled migrant (Dutch: kennismigrant) is available for those who come to work in the Netherlands for employers who meet the following criteria:
- In the second half of 2023, your employer must provide you with the following salary:
- At the age of 30 years and older: 5008 euros/month;
- Under 30 years of age: 3672 euros/month;
- When applying the reduced salary criterion (for graduates of Dutch universities): 2631 euros/month.
- Your employer is accredited for hiring highly qualified specialists from outside the EU by the Dutch migration service (a closed list of licensed companies is posted on the website of the migration service);
If your employer does not have this status, but is ready to pay you the required level of salary, an option is possible with the involvement of a payroll company that has the necessary licenses. Please contact us if this is your case. It is also possible that the workplace is created directly for you.
Kennismigrant status opens up many opportunities for you, including a 5-year residence permit, 30% tax rate and the possibility of obtaining a mortgage 3 months after arriving in the Netherlands.
