Family reunification

Family reunification is one of the grounds for a non-EU citizen to obtain the right to reside in the EU. The right to reside provides the advantage of visa-free travel within the EU.

Depending on your citizenship and family citizenship, there are different schemes for the reunification procedure.

Do you want to be reunited with your partner and / or minor children? You need to contact the immigration office in your country of residence and apply for reunification. In the Netherlands, the criterion for a positive decision in this area is the condition of your legal stay and the possession of sufficient income.

If you do not know where to start the reunification procedure, we will be happy to help you assess the chances of success and accompany you until you receive your resident card. You can leave a request in the form below.

If you want to bring your parents or relatives more distant than your partner and minor child, then the choice of the reunification scheme depends on your citizenship. In the case of EU citizenship, you can reunite under the European Route scheme. More details here... Direct children and grandchildren of an EU citizen under the age of 21, children and grandchildren of his partner under 18, parents and grandparents of an EU citizen have the right to reunification. Under additional conditions, an EU citizen can also bring an aunt, uncle, nephew or niece (3rd line of kinship).

In the case of citizenship of a non-EU country, the European Route reunification scheme cannot be applied. Please describe your situation and we will try to find the best option for you!
