IND has another sticker overload

More than 80 Ukrainian refugees have already arrived in the Netherlands, who want to receive temporary protection in the country. For this, two steps are mandatory: 1) registration with the municipality; 2) obtaining a sticker (sticker in the passport or on a separate insert) or O-document (plastic card) at the migration service - IND. With the second step there are delays and problems.

Is a sticker required?

Like us wrote, working Ukrainian refugees were required to receive an IND sticker by November 1st. And although if a Ukrainian worker has the right to temporary protection, but could not get a sticker on time, then no sanctions will be applied either to him or to the employer, everyone understands that time is running out.

What about online registration for November?

The Nalog.nl team continues to monitor the situation with stickers. We did not have time to rejoice renewal online appointments (afsprakenplanner) for admission to the IND from October 6 after the monthly break, associated with the lack of raw materials for the manufacture of a protective element, as again upsetting news. This time on the official website of the migration service appeared message, that online meeting planner (for pasting stickers) for November is completely filled.

"Don't worry!"

IND representatives ask Ukrainian refugees not to worry - the IND meeting scheduler is not broken. Due to the high demand, it is now almost impossible to make an appointment. All places for November are already booked, from mid-November it will be possible to make an appointment in December. At the same time, the migration service emphasizes: “There are enough stickers for everyone!”.

If you are covered by the Temporary Protection Directive, you can stay in the Netherlands even without official confirmation in the form of a sticker. His absence for the time being will not have any consequences. However, registration with the BRP (municipality) is mandatory. Of course, a document confirming the legality of residence in the Netherlands should be obtained as soon as possible.

Attention! The IND reception place for Ukrainian refugees in Amsterdam is being postponed from November 16, 2022! From this date onwards, all meetings will take place at the new address: Gatwickstraat 1, 1043GK Amsterdam.

How to sign up?

You can go directly to the online planner from IND pages for Ukrainians - you should click on the button Maak een afspraak ("Make an appointment"). In doing so, remember:

  • You can enroll a maximum of 6 family members at a time, such as your partner and children.
  • Children should also be brought to the IND appointment.
  • Before going to the recording page, you must disable the VPN. Otherwise, you will receive an error message.
  • You must be registered with the municipality for at least a week before receiving the sticker.
  • The sticker can only be obtained personally - no one else can do this for you.

What documents are needed?

To receive a sticker, you must bring the following documents with you to your IND appointment:

  • A valid international passport, an internal Ukrainian identity card in the form of an ID-card or a certificate (temporary identity card) from the Ukrainian embassy. For a child - a passport or birth certificate.
  • Your identification number (BSN). You received this number when you registered with the municipality.
  • Meeting code. You will see this code when you make an appointment. This code can also be received via SMS. You can only use this meeting code once.

The Nalog.nl team hopes that the epic with stickers for Ukrainians will end with a happy ending. In the meantime, we wish you patience and peace. Follow our news so as not to miss important information.
