IND resumes sticking stickers to Ukrainians

Everyone expected a new batch of stickers on October 17th. However October 6 at the IND website unexpectedly left news, that a batch of 20.000 stickers is ready.

Proof of legal residence in the Netherlands

For many Ukrainian refugees (temporarily displaced persons), visa-free travel (90 days) is ending. A sticker from the migration service is needed in order to confirm legal residence in the Netherlands. Under certain conditions, Ukrainians in the EU are subject to the European Temporary Protection Directive (Richtlijn Tijdelijke Bescherming, RTB).

The Migration Service began issuing stickers in the summer and planned to finish by the fall. However, the deadline has been pushed back several times. In early September, due to the lack of raw materials for the protective element, the production of stickers and, consequently, their issuance to Ukrainians was unexpectedly suspended.

Changes in the procedure for issuing stickers

Ukrainians in the Netherlands who plan to get a sticker should take into account the following points:

1. Instead of six locations, it will now work only three:

• in Amsterdam (CEC-Amsterdam - cultural and educational center);
• in Rotterdam (Conference Center Ahoy);
• in Assen (reception center for Ukrainians).

Online registration

The Migration Service announces the opening of online registration (afsprakenplanner) directly from October 6th. At the same time, you can make an appointment for sticking a sticker for a period October 12 - 31, 2022.
