From January 2022, the owners of EMZ and ZZP will no longer be able to use their usual portal of entrepreneurs (oude portaal voor ondernemers). Starting next year, VAT returns can only be submitted through a special administrative program, a tax service provider or through a new portal Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk.
The IRS notes that Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk is an improved platform that is easy to use from a smartphone. Many entrepreneurs have already received letters that they must submit their VAT return via Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk.
We remind you that the VAT report for the IV quarter of 2021 must be submitted by January 31, 2022. That is why we strongly recommend that the owners of EMZ and ZZP prepare for the transition to the new platform now, namely:
- purchase software,
- or conclude a tax service agreement with a special company,
- or make sure to log into Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk in advance. You can enter Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk using DigiD or eHerkenning. eHerkenning is essentially an electronic key for entrepreneurs and companies. Read more here.
