Usually, it is not difficult to take a short vacation for a few days during the autumn holidays and leave for travel. However, now the coronavirus is making adjustments to our plans. The Netherlands, together with other European countries, have developed new rules and guidelines for travelers.
So where can we go this fall?
Below you will find an overview of the travel restrictions that a number of popular Dutch holiday countries have imposed on the Dutch:
- Italy: Test negative within 72 hours or mandatory coronavirus test at the airport.
- Spain: A health certificate is required and entry into Madrid is only permitted for a good reason.
- United Kingdom: Mandatory 14-day quarantine. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a fine of approximately EUR 1100.
- Norway: mandatory quarantine for 10 days.
- Denmark: You are only welcome for a good reason, such as visiting family.
- Countries with no entry restrictions: France, Austria, Greece, Portugal, Croatia, Sweden
Don't forget to check out the Netherlands government travel guidelines. Dutch people who travel to countries or regions colored red are strongly advised to undergo a ten-day quarantine upon returning home.
