Flexible Employee Temporary Assistance Program (TOFA)

On June 22, 2020, UWV began accepting applications under the TOFA program, which aims to help employees with flexible employment contracts.

What is this?

TOFA is a one-time non-refundable payment of € 1650 (€ 550 each for the period from March to May 2020).

Who is eligible for TOFA?

To receive a payment, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Age as of 01.04.2020 - from 18 to the retirement threshold for old age;
2. SV in February 2020 – at least 400 euros;
3. SV-loon in March 2020 - at least 1 euro;
4. SV-loon in April 2020 – less than 550 euros;
5. SV-loon in April 2020 was at least 50% less than received in February;
6. The absence of any benefits or alternative payments in April 2020;
7. The TOFA payment is required to pay levensonderhoud, which includes housing, clothing and food.

In this context, SV refers to all types of income that are the basis for taxes and contributions to insurance funds.

When, where and how can you apply?

The request for payment under the TOFA program is carried out in electronic form by submitting a corresponding application from 22.06. until 12.07.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX. The body responsible for receiving and processing documents is the UWV (Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen).
