Today's press conference by the Prime Minister of the Netherlands brought some good news. We are finally moving from smart lockdown to basic rules. The general rules of course remain the same:

  • Do you have any complaints? Stay home and check yourself as soon as possible.
  • Maintain a distance of 1,5 meters
  • Wash your hands often.
  • Work from home as much as possible.
  • Avoid busy places

However, the peak of the infection is over and the virus is under control. This means we are finally returning to (almost) normal life.

What exactly awaits us?

The restriction on the maximum number of people in the room is lifted, but the requirement of 1,5 distance remains (exceptions are children under 18, people in contact professions and people with disabilities). That is, theaters, parks, museums and other recreational facilities can operate at almost full capacity.

Large-scale festivals, concerts and other events can open from July 1, however, they must be equipped with fixed seats for the correct seating of visitors (I wonder how this will work at open-air events)

The intimate industry is fully resuming its work, in contrast to nightclubs and discos, which are planned to open only from September 1.

In public transport, you can now take any place, but wearing a mask is still required. Also, the restriction on the maximum number of people in the car has been removed.

Casinos, sports schools and saunas are opening, but paid football will resume only in September.

You can attend sports matches, but you won't be able to support your team with loud chants, and it is forbidden to shout or sing loudly near other people.

New indulgences cannot but rejoice, the Netherlands are beginning to return to normal life. And we continue to wait for news. We will keep you updated!
