This year, the retirement age has been raised again, by only 4 months, but still. Last year (2018), the state pension could be counted on at 66 years old, in 2019 only at 66 years and 4 months. Next year, another 4 months will be added, so that the pension in 2020 will start at 66 years and 8 months, and in 2021 at 67 years old. This is how the Dutch work more and more unnoticed.
In addition, from this (2019) year, all those pension contributions that you managed to accumulate during all kinds of work and part-time jobs in the Netherlands have been combined. Now, upon retirement, you will receive a joint pension based on your entire track record.
