Hello, my friend (citizenship and residence in Russia) wants to buy a house in Holland. The notary says that if she registers in it (apparently having received a BSN-RNI), she can pay 2% tax (instead of 8%). Is it true? And if suddenly then she wants to take it, how long should it take from the purchase so that there are no problems?

Good afternoon, thank you for your contact. Regarding the tax - that’s true, but handing over is the same as you will have under the terms with the bank, if they allow you to hand over - then from any moment, but then the bank’s percentage will also be higher.

Sincerely, Tax.nl;
