Good afternoon,
my name is Igor, and a year and a half ago I moved to the Netherlands on a work visa as a High skilled migrant.
I am currently on a permanent contract with one of the companies. Last week I received an offer from my previous manager to join him as an hourly contractor (also a Dutch company). Preliminarily, the contract will be for 3 months with subsequent executions every 3 months, this is the policy of the company.
The rate for 1 hour is quite high to take a risk, but I'm not sure if I have the right to open an individual entrepreneur and continue to work as an individual entrepreneur. Currently, I have a temporary residence permit for 5 years.
According to the IND rules, I can only go to work for a company that has sponsor status for migrants, do these rules apply when working as a contractor as an individual entrepreneur?
Thank you.
With respect, Igor
Igor, good afternoon.
You can open an individual entrepreneur, there is no prohibition on this, however, unfortunately, so far your right to stay in the country depends on the availability of an official employer, who is your guarantor. And if for some reason you leave one employer, according to the law, you have 3 months to find a new employer, who will be a registered assistant at the migration service.
However, there are other options as well. For example, registration through an organization's Payroll. Or a request for a visa for a private entrepreneur, but this is not an easy way and if you decide on it, you will most likely need at least consultation or even specialist support.

Good afternoon,
Thank you very much for your answer, maybe you know examples of Payroll organizations, where you could apply and their approximate prices for services?
Best regards,
Igor
