Due to a shortage of staff, the Netherlands Railways (Nederlandse Spoorwegen - NS) is increasing the interval of trains and reducing the number of cars in the composition.
Passengers are not satisfied with this state of affairs, and they are increasingly complaining about the NS hotline. If earlier the number of complaints filed was several hundred per month, then in September 2022 the number of applications reached 1700.
In the first days of October, 430 complaints have already been filed.
The NS leadership refers to objective difficulties and promises to improve, but the specific dates by which the problem will be solved are not called.
