How Uitzendbureau will help Ukrainians find work

The Employment Agency (Uitzendbureau) is an intermediary company between job seekers looking for temporary work and companies that need such employees. If it's easier...

The Employment Agency (Uitzendbureau) is an intermediary company between job seekers looking for temporary work and companies that need such employees. Simply put, it is an intermediary between the applicant and the employer.

Uitzendbureau hires an employee to his staff, supervises him, keeps track of working hours and schedule - and, accordingly, pays for the work. And the company that employs you as an employee pays Uitzendbureau at an agreed rate: your pay plus margin, profit to the agency itself (for finding you and supervising you). From this follows your main advantage as an applicant: directly Uitzendbureau you pay nothing.

The second important plus: if you get a job through Uitzendbureau, you can consider several suitable offers from different employers, compare them, ask a recruiter to help you find a vacancy to take into account all your needs and talents. This is especially important if you are just starting out in the Netherlands. Uitzendbureau works with everyone: both highly qualified employees and working personnel.

Hiring through Uitzendbureau

  1. you compose your resume (CV) and send it to Uitzendbureau.

What should be written in CV?

  • personal data,
  • a short story about yourself, your strengths and skills,
  • desired position (you can even specify a company if you want to work in a specific place),
  • legal status in the Netherlands,
  • allowable distance from the place of work to your place of residence;
  • the desired number of hours of work per week (part time - part time, full time - full time);
  • whether you want to rent accommodation from the bureau (some companies provide this option, but not all).

By the way, a resume (CV) can be compiled for free on the website resume-builder.com or cv.nl. Try to indicate as many real skills, abilities, and knowledge as possible: it will be more useful than listing 15 years of directorial experience (if you are applying for a working specialty).

Don't forget about covering letter - Recruiters and employers love him very much. Write where you come from, what your current legal status is, confirm that you have received registration and BSN. If you know languages, write what and at what level, note that you are ready to work and study. If you are not sure that you fit the selected vacancy - do not hesitate: ask to be informed if there is something more suitable. The main thing is to clearly indicate your desire to work!

If the site has a search engine, it will be even more convenient: you choose the city of your residence, the desired position and the distance to the place of work. Please note that in the Netherlands it is considered normal distance from home to work up to 15 km (this path is often traveled by bicycles). You can search for vacancies by region or function that you are ready to perform.

Request examples:

  • magazijnmedewerker - warehouse employee,
  • fabrieksarbeider - factory employee,
  • kasarbeider - greenhouse worker,
  •  bouwvakker - builder,
  •  inpakken - packaging.
  1. At the second stage, you are invited to Uitzendbureau for personal interview. The recruiter will check your documents and talk with you, discuss work experience, skills, knowledge - and based on this data, he will select and offer you vacancies. For those who are just starting to work in the Netherlands, it can be 2-3 positions or companies - you can choose the one that suits you best.
  2. Once an employing organization has been selected, you will be prompted trial day — check day. During the check day, you will visit the company and the place of work, get to know the team, specify the working conditions in detail, and be able to assess right on the spot, personally, whether it will be convenient for you to work there or not.
  3. If the check day went well and you agree to work in the selected company Uitzendbureau and the employer conclude an agreement already between themselves - and your work, you can start! If this employer does not suit you, the recruiter will continue to select vacancies for you.

Important:

The applicant signs the contract with both the recruiting agency (Uitzendbureau) and the company itself. The period is determined individually based on the needs of the employer and the capabilities of the applicant.

  1. After signing contracts and starting work you are assigned a curator. This is your main contact person: with his help, you will communicate with the company's management, resolve any issues - from work schedules to sick leave records. Many Uitzendbureau have their own applications: you can track working hours, create a schedule, save pay slips, communicate with the curator, etc. there.

Important:

Uitzendbureau has its own gradation (phases) for applicants - from A to C - it means different contract conditions and different salary levels. Usually the phases change depending on the length of the joint work, and if your career prospects are assessed as high, then in the future you can get a contract from the employer directly.

The recruitment and employment system through Uitzendbureau is convenient, transparent and understandable. In the Netherlands, this approach is very common: the services of Uitzendbureau are used not only at the start of a career, but also when changing jobs.

Which Uitzendbureau we advise you to contact

We have compiled for you a list of agencies that are actively involved in working specialties, starting a career: this is work in factories, warehouses, greenhouses and landscaping, in construction. Dutch is not required in most vacancies, even English is required at a minimum (A1-A2, Beginner, Easy English). The main thing is the desire to work and ingenuity!

So, what agencies are ready to work with Ukrainians and can be recommended for starting a job search?

  • flexibelbv.nl – works in different areas: factories, greenhouses, cleaning, even picking and growing flowers. Applications are accepted on the site (you can specify the desired position and region), at the first registration of CV it is not necessary. Plus, you can rent accommodation and transport from them!
  • olympia.nl и randstad.nl are the largest career start agencies in the Netherlands. Many vacancies, convenient search by region and functions, transparent system of planning and payments.
  • refugeestartforce.eu — a small number of vacancies, but an ardent desire to help all Ukrainians: they are ready to compromise on the language, provide courses (for free or in installments).

Good luck with your search and good work!
