Yesterday, February 23, 2021, a press conference was held by the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, at which he informed about the next concessions in the fight against coronavirus.

So, from March 3, secondary school students can again attend classes directly within the walls of the educational institution, but for them, based on safety requirements, so far this is only possible one day a week. In the future, the number of such days may increase. However, this does not apply to high school students taking exams this year - they must go to school every day. Practical exercises can also be conducted within the walls of educational institutions.

In addition, MBO-level educational institutions open their doors to students - at least one day a week.

Also allowed attending sports sections outdoors and in a team for everyone under the age of 27

From March 3, representatives of contact professions, for example, hairdressers, cosmetologists, massage therapists, etc. can return to work. But there is a mandatory condition for them - clients must agree on a time for visiting. Driving schools are also opening. Sex industry establishments are still closed.

After a long pause, stores selling goods not related to the basic necessities of life reopen. But to go shopping there, shoppers will need to book a visit at least 4 hours before. In addition, a maximum of two customers have the right to be on one floor at the same time, shops can receive no more than 6 customers per hour. This decision was made mainly for small retail outlets. The Government understands that it is not suitable for large networks, and in such conditions it is simply not profitable for them to open up. Therefore, other standards are now being developed for them.

According to M. Rutte, the steps announced yesterday to weaken the coronavirus crisis measures carry great risks - after all, the virus has not yet been defeated. And if the number of cases begins to rise, measures will be tightened again. He also noted that the curfew and the “one guest per day” condition remain in force until March 15. At the next press conference, which is scheduled to take place on March 8, M. Rutte plans to voice the issue of a curfew. If it happens that it is extended until the parliamentary elections, which will take place on March 17, then additional measures will be taken that evening so that everyone can fulfill their civic duty - to vote.

Dear Readers! Throughout the year, Nalog.nl tried to track all events related to the coronavirus in the most detailed and prompt way. But we think that at this stage there is no urgent need to cover this topic on our website. News channels on television, in the press and on the Internet broadcast all the changes in this issue in great detail. In addition, we are learning to live with the coronavirus, and current issues, such as filing quarterly and annual tax returns, changes in legislation, migration, etc., come to the fore again. Therefore, we stop covering the situation with the coronavirus in detail and focus on equally important, in our opinion, but very topical issues of economics, law, accounting, taxation, administration, etc.

In this connection, we remind you that from March 1, 2021, the 2020 declaration campaign begins in the Netherlands, which will last until May 1. We will inform you about all issues related to it - follow our news!
