During today's press conference between Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the Minister of Health, new measures were announced to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The rules will take effect from September 29 at 18:00 and will last for at least three weeks. These measures are aimed at reducing the congestion of people and the number of social contacts between them. We have prepared infographics on the main aspects of the conference.

Rules for premises:

  • Work from home whenever possible. If a virus is detected in a company, the entire office is quarantined for 14 days.
  • Reception of guests at the house is limited to 3 people. Children under 12 years old are not included.
  • Outside the home, a group can have a maximum of 4 people. Children under 12 years old are not included. This means that it is possible to reserve a seat in the cinema or restaurant for 1 family or a maximum of 4 people, excluding children.
  • The number of people in the premises is limited to 30.
  • Restaurants, cafes accept guests until 21.00, and close at 22.00. Exception: establishments at the airport.

  • In closed areas with a lot of visitors, such as libraries and museums, but excluding shops, visits by reservation.
  • Compliance with 1,5 distances in the premises.
  • Contact people ask their clients to register. Exception: professions where registration would interfere with professional activities or security (doctors, law enforcement agencies, investigators).

Outdoor Recreation Rules

  • In public areas such as zoos or markets, there is a standard for the number of visitors per square meter.
  • Sports competitions, both amateur and professional, are held without spectators.
