Good afternoon!
I have a question regarding tuition tax refund. In 2015, I paid for a year of a master's program in Holland (about 7 euros) and I know that within 000 years you can get the tax deduction refunded. The payment was made from my Dutch account, but the money was previously transferred to it by my parents. In 5, I worked for only 2015 months and already received a return for that year, given the fact that I almost did not work that year. A couple of months ago, I resubmitted my declaration for 2 indicating the tuition fees, to which I received a letter from the tax office with the text:
Does it make sense to file an appeal and try to return something, or because I worked for only 2 months, nothing will be returned?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Anna
Good afternoon Anna,
Most likely, few taxes were paid for 2 months of work, and you have already received a refund for them.
However, the unused deduction is carried over to the next years and you may be eligible for a refund in another year. To know for sure, you need to carefully study the declarations from 2015 to 2019.
