Good day. Please tell me, according to the current rules (relevant today), what do you need to have in order to be considered tax partners for a man and a woman without a registered marriage? Is registration at one address enough? Or do you need something else? Thank.
Alexander, good afternoon.
Alas, today it is not enough just to register at one address. In order to be considered tax (fiscal) partners, you must register at one address for at least 6 months a year and fulfill one of the following conditions:
- availability of the samenlevende contract
- joint child
- joint real estate
- joint pension (one partner entered the other into his pension plan)
- joint maintenance of a child of one of the partners
In addition, a fiscal partnership can be automatically extended if it took place in the last reporting year and the tax authorities do not know about any changes in the situation.
You can read more about this at here.
