Hello,
Please tell me, is it necessary to submit a declaration for 2018 if only part of it was employed in the Netherlands (I did it in the last quarter, my wife only in December)? And if not, what advantage does filing a declaration give in this case? Ruling was confirmed for both of us already at the beginning of this year, if that matters.

Hello
If you have lived in Holland for only part of the reporting year, then you can submit an M-form in this case.
There is a possibility that some of the taxes will be returned.

M-form declaration – declaration for those registered in Holland for less than a year.
If you have received a notification from the tax office about the need to file an annual return, then you must do this within the specified tax time frame.
If you have not received the notification, then the annual return can be submitted at any time during the next 5 years.
