You can transport the car, but alas, you cannot avoid paying a lot of taxes. According to the tax rules, you can get tax exemption for the transportation of your property (including cars) only during the first 12 months after the move. There are other rules, such as owning a car for more than 6 months, but they seem to have been followed in your case.

I also wanted to clarify. Our family recently moved to NL, my wife has “kennis migrant” status, and I am a partner. We arrived by car and would like to leave it and register it. But the car is registered in my name. Could there be problems with this? I mean the “kennis migrant” status that my wife has and not me. I've heard conflicting versions. I don’t remember reading somewhere that “kennis migrant” is taken into account, but I heard it several times from friends.

When registering a car, it is not the status of "kennis migrant" that is important, but the fact that you have a Dutch residence permit (as a partner), that the car is in your ownership, and not leased, for example, and that you owned it for more than 6 months before the moment of import. If these conditions are met, you can register the car as part of your belongings when you move and avoid paying taxes. If, at the same time, you manage to register a car during the first year of residence in the NL.
