Good afternoon. I am a paid CM, my partner is not officially employed, she does handmade work. She wants to enter the European market and sell and receive payment into a Dutch account. The estimated sales volume is 5-6 thousand euros per year, that is, it is not yet advisable to open ZZP according to your article “Whether to register an individual entrepreneur with small earnings.”
We will definitely order from you at the end of the year to fill out a declaration from the family, possibly with a tax deduction for a non-working partner.
Questions:

  • What documents on the sale of hand-made products should be created and stored so that the tax authorities have no questions?
  • what tax rate should you plan on this income to pay at the end of the year (for a partner this is the only one). I heard from friends that up to 11 thousand euros of income is not taxed at all, but this is exactly what “someone said somewhere,” I would like to know the opinion of professionals.

Thank you.

Anna, good afternoon,

Regarding the sale of handmade goods, all you need to do is keep a receipt/expense table, you can simply write it in Excel, where you write down how much money was received and how much was spent, for example, on materials or travel related to work. And then at the end of the year, when ordering a declaration from us, you can send us this plate and we will enter this income in the “income from other work” column, thus showing her freelance income.

On the second point, alas, any income in the IP is taxed, but if the income is small, then, taking into account all tax deductions and discounts, it is not paid, which is probably why you heard that income up to 11 thousand is not taxed.
I hope we were able to answer your questions. We will be glad to help you with the declaration in the future.

Best regards, Nalog.nl team
