Good afternoon!
Please tell me how taxes are calculated for a couple that have entered into geregistreerd partnerschap.
My partner earns € 40000 / year gross and pays 40,85% in taxes.
I am a ZZP'er and I want to take a 10 hours a week part-time job on a regular contract (loondienst).
I used to file my tax return separately.
And now it turns out that I will have income from loondinst and the declaration will need to be filled out differently. Will it turn out that I will pay as much taxes from my part-time job as my fiscal partner? That is 40%?
Thank you in advance!

No, the amount of taxes is calculated for each spouse (fiscal partner) separately, taking into account his (her) annual income and applicable discounts. What a partnership really affects is the return to a non-working partner (in your case, you will work and you are not entitled to it), and it also makes it possible to distribute tax deductions (for example, for medical services) or income from box 3 (savings) between spouses in the optimal way. In fact, it is almost always more profitable to file a joint return than a separate return (exceptions only for single parents)
