Dutch tax authorities reminded, that as of October 1, 2023, part of the heavy vehicle tax exemptions (Belasting zware motorrijtuigen - BZM) will expire. This tax applies to trucks and special equipment.

Benefits are canceled for vehicles with a total weight of over 12 tons, used on public roads and belonging to the following groups of vehicles:

  • Vehicles intended for transport evacuation,
  • Library buses,
  • Garbage trucks, including tipper type,
  • Agricultural machinery,
  • Mobile workshops,
  • Buses equipped to provide dental care to schoolchildren
  • Trams,
  • Telecommunications company vehicles,
  • Cars - traveling exhibitions,
  • Vehicles delivering purchases
  • Vehicles for sewerage repair and maintenance,
  • Vehicles used for training.
