Rules for notifying business account numbers are changing

From July 4, 2023, entrepreneurs registered with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kamer van Koophandel - KvK) will not be able to inform the tax authorities (Belastingdienst) about changing their account number or opening a new account using a personal domain for entrepreneurs (Persoonlijk Domein voor Ondernemers - PDO ). From July 4, this will only be possible through the Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk (MBDZ) program.

To enter the MBDZ program, you need to log in using DigiD, eHerkenning or eIDAS. 

The authorization method depends on the legal form of your company. You can login to MBDZ via Belastingdienst website.

In addition, it remains possible to inform the tax authorities about the account number by paper letter. 

The form to fill out this letter can be download link or find on page "Pay and receive" (Betalen en ontvangen) of the Belastingdienst website.

If your business is not registered with KvK, you can still use a personal business domain (PDO) to report your bills to the IRS.
