We have repeatedly written that housing, food, education for children and medical care are guaranteed for everyone who arrives in the Netherlands. This is laid down in the Constitution (Grondwet). Every Ukrainian who arrives in the country is provided with a roof over his head in one way or another. With payments for accommodation and meals, of course, if not all, but the main thing is that there is help. Children have already begun to be enrolled in Dutch schools and even have lessons for them remotely. But let's deal with medicine again: what types of medical care are guaranteed to Ukrainians with refugee status or under temporary protection even before obtaining medical insurance.
Ukrainians who have applied for refugee status will not have to pay for medical care until they get a job.
Those who are in refugee camps should contact the official representatives of the COA (Centraal Orgaan opvang asielzoekers) - the Central Agency for the Reception of Refugees, to visit a doctor.
For those who are located in host families, it is better to clarify through the GZA (GezondheidsZorg Asielzoekers BV) which doctor in your area to contact so that you do not have to pay for an appointment.
In this resource you will find a list of medicines and dental services that refugees can get free of charge.
