The bus company Flixbus resumes trips to Ukraine. The first bus to Kyiv left on Monday late in the evening, April 18, from Maastricht. The bus was almost full, although most of the passengers went to Germany or Poland.

Previously, the company stopped traveling to Ukraine due to the war. According to Flixbus, the situation is now safe enough to travel to the cities of Western Ukraine. According to the transport company, more and more people are returning to their homeland.

One of the Ukrainians who went to Kyiv on the first Flixbus flight, Oksana Radionova, said news agency ANPwho returns because of the pets left in Kyiv, because "he cannot leave three of his cats without shelter."

Buses from Amsterdam, Schiphol, Rotterdam also included Ukrainian cities (Kyiv, Lvov, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, etc.) in the list of destinations. The cost of the trip depends on the date, city of departure and destination. So, a ticket from Maastricht to Kyiv for the next two weeks can cost from 60 to 85 euros. A trip from Amsterdam to Lviv will cost more.

Recall that it was Flixbus that transported Ukrainian refugees to Europe for free since the beginning of the war: https://www.nalog.nl/news/2022/03/07/flixbus-pracyuye-dlya-ukra%d1%97nciv-bezkoshtovno/.

We made a request to the service center of the company to clarify whether there will be preferential prices for return tickets for Ukrainians. According to the service center, so far only trips of Ukrainian refugees towards Europe remain free: “At the moment, as advertised on our social networks, we offer free trips only from the Polish border (Przemysl and Rzeszow) to anywhere in Europe. We also offer free rides from Suceava and Tulcea.”
