What is DigiD and how to live with it

DigiD - short for Digital Identity. DigiD is an authentication system, a kind of digital passport, and if you have a digital signature, the state authorities of the Netherlands will identify you. How to get DigiD?

Receive online. On the site https://www.digid.nl/ you must fill out an inquiry form or do so by uploading DigiD app into your phone. After three to five business days, you will receive an activation code by mail. After its introduction, DigiD activation will be completed and you will be able to use it.

Do Ukrainians need it?

If you are going to stay in the Netherlands for a long time, it is best to do so. The only thing: if you are currently living in a hotel, then do not rush and wait for a more permanent place of residence so that the information letter with the activation code in your name is definitely not lost.
