The Dutch tax office is currently actively sending emails with the subject line Authorization (power of attorney).
Last fall we already gave clarification on this issue
Now these powers are given to us, Nalog.Nl, as intermediary (intermediary) are required to file the 2020 annual tax return.
When filling in the special program of the codes indicated in these Authorization, we send our automatic request to the Dutch tax office to use a pre-filled tax return. As a rule, it will contain information about salaries, accounts, property, etc., about which the tax office is already known from various sources.
But our receipt of this information does not mean that you will not need to send documents to our address. This is absolutely necessary, since with Authorization it is impossible to get all the data completely.
For example, there is no information about:
- deductions for medical and travel expenses,
- deductions for tuition;
- renewing the fiscal partnership;
- taxiing confirmation;
- income and expenses from other jobs, etc.
What are you going to do with this letter now?
If you want us to fill out and file your tax return for 2020, then you need to send us by email a scan / photo of either each page of this letter, or just the page with the code.
But, please, pay attention - each letter has a validity / activation period, and if you received it late or forgot to send it to us earlier, and the code may no longer be active, then let us know and we will make a request for this power of attorney again.
If you do not want us to submit your 2020 declaration, then just write to us that you no longer want to use our services, and next year you will receive such a letter indicating Nalog.Nl as intermediary will not come anymore. In this case, you do not need to do anything with the letter from the tax office - neither send it to us, nor send it to the tax office - you can simply forget about it.
Of this kind Authorization valid for only one year, and one power of attorney is issued for only one person.
