Recently, the Cabinet of Ministers, in close cooperation with 6 regions of the Netherlands, announced measures against the spread of the coronavirus. The measures went into effect on Sunday 20 September at 18:00.
Today (September 27), the list of regions has increased to 14.

Safety measures apply to the regions of Amsterdam - Amstelland, Brabant-Noord, Brabant-Zuidoost, Flevoland, Gelderland-Zuid, Gooi en Vechtstreek, Groningen, Haaglanden, Hollands Midden, Kennemerland, Rotterdam-Rijnmond, Utrecht, Zaanstreek-Waterland, Zuid-Holland Zuid . Currently, the number of infections in these 14 regions is growing the fastest.

Three measures were announced:

– in restaurants, cafes and bars, reception of guests ends at midnight. Then the music also turns off. At 01.00 everything closes.

– you cannot gather in groups of more than 50 people. This applies, for example, to parties, get-togethers and walks. The ban applies both indoors and outdoors. There are a number of exceptions, such as demonstrations, religious gatherings, funerals, and dance and theater rehearsals.

– events where more than 50 people are planned must be notified in advance. This applies, for example, to public concerts in a park. There is an exception, for example, for venues with a catering license, religious gatherings, supermarkets, shops, libraries, cultural institutions and similar venues where there is visitor capacity.

In addition, the regions also take their own individual measures.
