From July 27, the Dutch will finally be able to reunite with their soul mates, even if the partner lives outside the EU. Minister Ferd Grapperhaus announced that the travel ban order had made an exception for couples who had to be separated due to quarantine. For all others, the ban continues.
Now the beloved will be able to stay in the Netherlands for 3 months every 6 months. This rule will apply for the entire period of the coronavirus crisis.
The regulation of the new regime will be carried out according to the Danish principle. In a Scandinavian country, couples must be able to prove that they have been in a love relationship for at least three months. They must also sign a contract confirming that they are a couple.
In the Netherlands, such an agreement will appear on July 27. The couple must also provide a place to stay, and those coming from outside the EU must have a return ticket. You can request an extension of your stay for three months.
Those arriving from orange-code countries (high-risk countries) will have to go through a 14-day quarantine upon arrival.
