It is finished! Municipalities started accepting applications from entrepreneurs

It is finished! From Monday March 23rd, Chementy began accepting applications from entrepreneurs who are eligible for state aid under the Tozo program. How much effort, nerves and time was spent on launching it.

We remind you for those who are not in the know:

Tozo's aid scheme provides support to entrepreneurs in two ways:

1. Temporary payments to those who have lost income up to the social minimum level. The size of this payment depends on family composition, income and the level of income decline. Maximum – 1500 euros per month net. This is non-refundable money.
2. Concessional loan up to EUR 10 at 517% per annum with a maximum maturity of 2 years.

For a long time, there was a debate about whether you can get both at the same time. We must admit that we were supporters of the version about the possibility or request for help, or a loan. Practice has shown that an application is submitted in general with the possibility of requesting both one type of assistance, and both at the same time. What and who will receive in the end remains a mystery.

Let's share with you the criteria, the compliance with which gives the right to receive the service:

1. Age 18 and older (up to the retirement threshold);
2. Permanent residence in the Netherlands legally;
3. Carrying out a business activity in the Netherlands;
4. Compliance with legal requirements for the activities carried out, incl. registration with the KVK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce);
5. Registration of entrepreneurship until 01.01.2020;
6. Citizenship of the Netherlands or another EEA country (EU + Luximburg, Iceland, Switzerland), or Dutch residence permit;
7. Compliance with the requirement to work for 1225 hours per year;
8. Accommodation in the municipality in which assistance is requested;
9. Clear damage from the consequences of the coronavirus.

A number of our clients have already submitted packages of documents with our help, and we are awaiting decisions. The stated review period is 4 weeks, but the government promises to start making advance payments even earlier.

A few words about the documentation that needs to be prepared:

1. Copy of Dutch (EU) passport or ID;
2. Copy of passport or fiscal partner ID;
3. A copy of the current bank statement;
4. Documentary evidence of other income, if any;
5. Copy of the last declaration (Belastingaangifte)
6. Copy of latest financial statements (jaarrekening), if filed.
