Given the importance of the situation around the credit obligations of entrepreneurs, we have collected for your convenience information on all measures taken by banks to minimize losses incurred by businesses as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Together with the government of the Netherlands, banks are trying to provide support to businesses. Their actions have several directions:
- provision of deferred payments on loans, including mortgages
- increase in credit limits for corporate clients
- financing of small businesses
For example: you can request a deferral to pay a mortgage from ABN AMRO directly on the bank's website using the following link: https://www.abnamro.nl/nl/prive/service-en-contact/corona/coronavirus-en-uw-hypotheek-en-lening.html.
For corporate clients of ABN AMRO, deferred payments for amounts below 2,5 million euros are automatically granted: https://www.abnamro.nl/nl/zakelijk/coronavirus/uitstel-van-rente-en-aflossingen.html.
RABOBANK, in the event of difficulties with the payment of the mortgage, asks the borrowers to contact the customer support service, which will determine the possibility of granting an extension: https://www.rabobank.nl/particulieren/hypotheek/corona/.
RABOBANK corporate clients are provided with a wide range of concessions and supportive measures, which can be found here: https://www.rabobank.nl/bedrijven/corona
The list of partner banks participating with the government in government programs of assistance to businesses and individuals is wider, including: ABN Amro, ING, Rabobank, de Volksbank group and Triodos Bank.
In this difficult situation, we must try not to panic. If in the information we provided above, you did not find a link to measures taken by your bank, this does not mean that they do not exist. Contact the customer service of your banking institution and find out more.
