Improving the energy efficiency of homes is an important area in the fight against climate change. In addition, lower heating costs are a significant savings for the family budget. However, energy efficiency measures themselves are not cheap, so part of the costs can be covered by an interest-free loan from the National Thermal Fund (Nationaal Warmtefonds). And now more residents of the Netherlands will be able to take such a loan.
Previously, loans were issued only to households with a total income of up to 48 euros, but now this bar has been raised to 000 euros. Accordingly, the Nationaal Warmtefonds interest-free loan is available to more Dutch people. Due to the low interest rate and long term, such a loan can be repaid by saving on energy bills. Loan terms can be found on the foundation's website.
If you do not qualify for an interest-free loan, Nationaal Warmtefonds offers an Energy Efficiency Loan at 4,1% per annum. Sometimes the rate may be lower through municipal or provincial funding.
