The transport tax will have to be paid through the bank

From June 1, 2023, it will no longer be possible to pay transport tax using the Giro system*. About it reported by the tax authorities (belastingdienst) of the Netherlands. You need to pay transport tax from accounts opened with a bank using the available options (mobile or Internet banking, etc.). The transport owner will receive an email from belastingdienst with all the details required for payment.
