The Dutch Tax Authority apologizes for the technical problems with filing tax returns and is giving more time. The deadline for submission has been moved from May 1 to 8 May 2021 years.
If you want to get a final decision from tax authorities faster - that is, until July 1, then the ability to submit a declaration has been changed from April 1 to April 8, 2021.
For four days now - since the start of the reporting campaign on March 1, 2021, those wishing to send the declaration receive answers that they will have to try to fill out the declaration again later. The website of the Dutch tax office is not keeping up with the influx of visitors. In general, it is expected that the 2020 declaration, now by May 8, must be submitted by 8 million people.
The IRS says the problem has already been identified. “We hope to soon be able to say that the error has already been fixed,” says Helen Bisschoff-Moonen, responsible for the tax reporting campaign.
