The IRS approved the first exemptions for taxpayers, namely:
– previously, if you had tax arrears, you were charged rent (interest for late payment), the amount of which was 4% per year for income tax (Inkomstenbelasting), and 8% for corporate income tax (Vennootschapsbelasting). From March 1, 2020, the amount of these interests has been reduced to 0,01% per annum, and this provision applies to both newly arising charges and and on earlier debts;
– at the same time, an automatic deferment of three months was approved for all types of taxes; there is no need to request such a deferment separately
