According to Dutch law, the tax office has the right to request data for the last 7 years. Some people, including entrepreneurs, do not take these requirements seriously enough. You should not throw away any documents related to entrepreneurship before this deadline. One of the entrepreneurs, who tried to challenge the punishment imposed on him, was convinced of this.

The entrepreneur owns a tax consulting business. During the tax audit, he was asked to provide evidence of his business meetings. He said that he kept meeting plans in personal diaries, and immediately received a demand to provide these diaries for the period 2012-2015. The businessman reported that they were not saved, and as a result he was given a punishment.

The punishment was challenged in court at the place of residence, but the court ruled in favor of the tax office. Then the entrepreneur appealed this decision, and finally the case reached the Supreme Court. The court supported the tax and lower courts: in its decision The Supreme Court said that an entrepreneur's personal records related to his business must also be kept for 7 years.

This is by no means a story about the dangers of doing business! By registering EMZ, you can not only earn money legally, but also receive significant business benefits. You just need to act in accordance with the law from the very beginning.
