Basic conditions for obtaining a residence permit (for work)
There are a number of general conditions for applying for a residence permit in the Netherlands, applicable to all purposes of stay.
To apply, you must meet the following conditions:
• You have a valid passport or other identification document. The child can be entered in the passport of one of the parents.
• You have filled out the form, you can download it here
• Upon arrival in the Netherlands, you will undergo a medical examination for tuberculosis (TB). You do not need to take a TB test in one of the following situations:
o You are a citizen of one of the countries indicated in the appendix - “TB Waiver”.
o You already have a valid residence permit in the Netherlands and are applying
application for another residence permit.
o You were born in the Netherlands and have always lived here.
o Less than 6 months ago you already had a TB test in the Netherlands.
o You have an EU residence permit for a long-term resident issued by another EU country, or you are a family member and live with a long-term resident in another EU country.
