According to official figures, a new minimum wage (WML – Wet minimumloon en minimumvakantiebijslag) will come into force in the Netherlands for workers aged 21 and over from 1 January 2026.

Rate for 21 years and over: €14,71 per hour (gross).
Based on a 36-hour working week: € 2,294.40 gross per month.
For employees under 21, a fixed percentage of the 21+ rate applies; for example: 20 years old – €11,77/hour.
