The tax office has started sending out letters with a qr-code that allows your tax consultant to access some data.

The subject of the email is as follows: Your intermediary (intermediair) is requesting access to preliminary VIA data (vooraf ingevulde aangifte) to fill out a tax return. The Dutch text is: Uw intermediair wil gegevens van de vooraf ingevulde aangifte gebruiken. In other words, we are talking about a power of attorney (machtigen VIA). More details here.

If you are our client, you may have already received this letter or will receive it in the near future. This year, the tax office began to send letters with access to VIA much earlier. The fact is that mailing has become automatic since 2021. Letters are sent every year.

What does VIA mean?

VIA, or vooraf ingevulde aangifte, is preliminary information for filling out the declaration: your salary, WOZ-waarde of your house (cadastral value), mortgage details and bank account balance. The information is incomplete, but it is sufficient for preliminary filling.

How to respond to a letter?

Option 1. You want us to fill out your tax return for you.

You take a photo / scan a page of a letter with a QR code or just a QR code (or digital code) and send it to us. This will mean that you trust us with your personal information, and we guarantee their safety.

You can send the code:

  • By mail: info@nalog.nl,
  • In the chat on the website: https://www.nalog.nl/.

Option 2. You are going to fill out the tax return yourself, and you do not need help.

In this case, you simply do not respond to the letter to the tax office.

Option 3. This year you want to fill out the declaration yourself, but next year you will be happy to use our help.

Again, you ignore the letter that came in.

Option 4. You no longer want to use the services of intermediaries.

You can send a letter to us (it contains the required code). Please accompany the photo of the letter with the text that you are asking to be removed from the automatic mailing list of the tax. You can do this through the tax office.

It may be that you, only after receiving the letter, remembered that you need to file a tax return. You can read about the declarations and order the one you need here.

"Best before date"

Pay attention to the deadline before which you need to tell us the QR code. It is indicated in the letter.

About the time of filling out the declaration

We will gladly complete your tax return by March 1st. It is from this date that it will be possible to send it to the tax office, before it simply will not be accepted. Therefore, you have enough time to prepare all the necessary documents (data on the salary received for 2021, information from the insurance company).

If you still have questions, please write to us in social networks or in the chat on the site.
